Job description
Plan, organize and participate in interviews for staff recruitment and advise process of candidate selection, contracting, orientation and confirmation.
Coordinate staff clearance, including conducting exit interviews and using the exit interviews to inform management decisions
Plan for staff welfare and team building activities and coordinate the implementation of the same with the other heads of units
Ensure maintenance of an effective, efficient and up to date staff records and filing system including contracts, leave, awards, discipline, archiving, etc.
In consultation with the AM, provide technical input and be the focal point in addressing employee relation issues including staff grievances, disciplinary measures, etc.
Advise on the staff performance management system and follow up for its implementation
Prepare and review incentive contracts for approval as per the NRC guidelines.
Maintain and keep track of leave records and balances of all national staff.
Prepare periodic HR reports, capacity building plan, organogram, and planning projections for submission to Area Manager and HR staff in Addis and stick to the timelines.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, or related fields
Minimum of 2-3 years relevant experience

Experience from working as a HR Officer in a humanitarian/recovery context
Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
